Jotun Penguard Topcoat is a two-pack epoxy polyamide cured topcoat based on a polyamide cured epoxy resin. This product is a part of a complete system which is certified not to spread surface flames.

Penguard Topcoat bases are intermediates and need to be processed before use. As finishing coat in epoxy systems. Also on concrete where epoxy paints are specified.

This product is able to be tinted to RAL and British Standard colours.

Uses

  • Recommended for topside, deck and superstructure
  • Suitable for a wide range of industrial structures
  • Recommended thinner: Jotun Thinner No. 17

Application Methods

The product can be applied by:

  • Spray: Use airless spray
  • Nozzle tip (inch/1000):15-19
  • Brush: Recommended for stripe coating and small areas. Care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
  • Roller: May be used - care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.

Drying

Drying and curing times are determined under controlled temperatures and relative humidity below 85%, and within the DFT range of the product.

Walk-on-dry: Minimum time before the coating can tolerate normal foot traffic without permanent marks, imprints or other physical damage.

Dried to over coat, minimum: The shortest time allowed before the next coat can be applied.

Surface (touch) dry: The state of drying when slight pressure with a finger does not leave an imprint or reveal tackiness. Dry sand sprinkled on the surface can be brushed off without sticking to or causing damage to the surface.

Dried/cured for service: Minimum time before the coating can be permanently exposed to the intended environment/medium.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders which are placed before 2pm are dispatched the same day (Monday-Friday). Some products do have a longer lead time, this will be stated on products when adding to cart. For any questions regarding delivery please contact our customers support team.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to the UK from our Doncaster Depot and Ireland via our Antrim Depot.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return a product?

If you find you do need to return an item, we will accept returns up to 14 days after the day of delivery. The product should be returned to us unused and including the original packaging. We will inspect the item upon its return.

How long will it take to receive my refund?

Refunds of the original payment for the item returned (excluding postage & packaging) will be issued within 30 days to the credit/debit card used for of the original order. Please note you are responsible for the goods until they are received at our warehouse, for more information please contact our customer support team.
