Business Development Manager - Northern Ireland

Responsible for the development of new and existing customers and managing a number of Key accounts. With scheduled face to face client visits, coupled with high volume proactive telephone activity, this is a very exciting but challenging role. This will be available for a highly motivated individual who is comfortable to be adaptive and flexible, but passionate about growth with excellence. A proven track record of delivering excellence in sales and account management is pre-requisite for this role, good knowledge of the industrial Coatings market is looked for too.

You will be responsible for your own pipeline, whilst responding to enquiries and leads. In many instances you will be the main contact for leads and prospects, it is critical that a thoroughly professional approach is adopted and delivered. The role is results driven, and the successful candidate must thrive within a target driven environment and understand that delivering an exceptional service will not be compromised due to these targets. 

Reporting to: Sales Director 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, and IT ability. Polite, professional telephone manner.
  • Must have sales experience, confident in front of leads & prospects, displaying a good knowledge of products and their technical abilities.
  • Ability to analyse quickly and proactively problem solve. Can work in a team, but use own initiative when needed. Enthusiastic, self motivated person who is confident and not afraid of rejection from prospecting. 
  • Prepared to go the extra mile to achieve results, able to keep track and deliver on own pipeline.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license 

Experience: 

  • Industrial coatings knowledge, technical background of paint systems and application methods used in the Wood finishing/steel protection market.
  • Previous experience in sales.
  • Computer Literate 

Performance Objective: 

To generate a high level of activity and performance that will ensure growth of sales with new active accounts coming on board and the development of existing accounts from silver to gold, from gold to platinum. 

Working Hours: 

Mon-Thurs 8.00am - 5.00pm; Fri 8:00am - 3pm (Flexible) 30 mins for lunch
